RED Wing has over the years, built up expertise and specialist facilities in a very broad range of management, technological and scientific fields which very few organizations in the country can match. The expertise and facilities are mainly used to fulfill the primary objectives of research and development; however, industrial interaction has been given special emphasis for close interaction of the faculty with industry being a prime necessity for technological growth.

Towards this goal, interaction with industries is canalized through the following activities:

• Need based and time-bound result-oriented research;
• Industrial consultancy;
• Dissemination / transfer of know-how in the forms usable by the manufacturing industries; and
• Special need-based training courses for serving industrial personnel.
